Pinterest is an obsession of mine. There are so many awesome ideas for a creatively minded person like myself. Sometimes, the crafts I duplicate come out pretty cool and other times they are an epic fail. Well today’s project was an epic fail.
Halloween is a favorite holiday of mine and this year, I have a baby to dress up and pose. I searched Pinterest for some cute ideas and this is what I came up with:
Looks easy right? Cut a couple holes into a carved pumpkin and place baby inside…simple.
Yesterday, I got a large pumpkin at Target for 99 cents. (When you buy a bottle on Menage a Trios wine you get $2 off a pumpkin. Score!) Today, I carved the pumpkin and put two holes at the bottom, like in the picture above. At the bottom of the pumpkin, I put a couple of folded receiving blankets to cushion Charlotte’s bum. Everything was going great until I placed Charlotte into the pumpkin. This was the result:
I literally took two photos and then took her out, she was really upset. I am now convinced that she hates me and is deathly afraid of pumpkins. So much for a future PSL lover. Sorry Starbucks.
We resulted to a less creative approach which involved our fur-babies, Diesel and Chase.
It’s no baby in a pumpkin but it will have to do.
Have a Happy Halloween everyone. Comment with your favorite Halloween baby ideas or epic fails.
