As Halloween falls on a Monday this year, I figured I would compile a list of the fall festivities in the SoFlo area.
Fall Harvest Festival
Flamingo Road Nursery is located in Davie, FL. Their Fall Fest is free and includes a plethora of activities for all ages. From October 28 – November 6, they have the Parade of Color followed by a hay ride.
Snyder Fall Festivlal
Located at Snyder Park in Fort Lauderdale. $5 admission includes a horse drawn hayride through the park, costume contests, petting zoo, Halloween games and pumpkin patch.
Tradewinds Park Fall Festival
On 10/29 at Tradewinds, $1 admission and $20 in tickets includes model steam train rides, hayrides, car show, food trucks, fall games and crafts, photo booth, bounce houses, interaction with farm animals, barn tours, and farm tours and demonstrations.
Palm Beach County
Bedner’s Farmers Market
Admission to Bedner’s is Free. It is $17 per child for a Combo Pass which includes a hay ride, corn maze, bounce house, games and slide. My family and I went last weekend. Make sure to get there early as it does get busy.
While you are there check out the Farmers Market. Wild Flower Granola is a must while visiting Bedner’s. Maple Pecan is my personal favorite!
$30 gains you admission to 4 Haunted Houses feature terrifying live actors, cool special effects, and scary monsters! Freight Nights is located in West Palm Beach at the South Florida Fair grounds.
Boo at the Zoo
Boo at the Zoo is a fun, safe, not-so-scary, Halloween experience for your kids! $14.50 includes Trick-or-Treating, Costume Character Meet-N-Greets, Kids Costume Contests, Kids DJ, Pumpkin Decorating (small additional charge) and Haystack Hunt (small additional charge).
Happy haunting everyone, stay safe and most importantly have fun!
